The true Story: This 1953 VW T1a Kombi was purchased in its original blue from VW Rossel in Wiesbaden Germany. the first owner sold it about 1960 to a Company called ZEWA in Mannheim / Rheinau Germany. ZEWA converted it and used the kombi as a Company grounds Fire truck until 1990. The Mannheim based VW Club Rhein-Neckar purchased the kombi and decided to restore the kombi back to its original blue. The models represent the same bus in different stages in history.
